The KV-1 was a Soviet heavy tank and the first of many from KV series. They were named after the Soviet defense commissar and politician kliment Voroshilov and used by the red army during world war II. The series were known for their heavy armor protection during early part of the war. In some situations, even a single KV-1 supported by infantry, could halt the enemy attack. They were called Russian Colossus' even the German tanks' armament were ill-equipped to deal with them. The KV-1 was produced in 1939 and was the first 2489 of the series. The Panzerkampfwagen IV (PzKpfw IV), commonly known as the Panzer IV, was a German Medium tank developed in the late 1930S and used extensively during the second world war. Its ordnance inventory designation was SD.Kfz. 161. The Panzer IV was the most widely manufactured German tank of the second world war, with some 8, 500 built. The Panzer IV was used as the base for many other fighting vehicles, including the Sturmgesch IV assault gun, JAG Panzer IV tank destroyer, the whirlwind self-propelled anti-aircraft gun, and the brummb self-propelled gun.
