No, drywall should be sealed with a primer first. Will it have a texture? Yes, the paint will have a slightly textured feel to it due to the iron powder in the paint. Using a foam brush will reduce the texture and yield a smoother finished surface. Does it work with all magnets? - No, magnets that are too heavy and don't have enough surface area won't stick, the flat type of refrigerator magnets work best. What type of wall surface does it need? - Flat wall surfaces work best. Stucco or other non-smooth surfaces will create too much space between the magnets and the iron powder in the paint. How does it work? - The iron powder in the paint creates a thin magnetic receptive surface that will attract magnets. Is there any lead in it? - No, the iron powder is what makes it magnetic receptive. There is no lead in the Magic Wall Magnetic Paint. Can I tint the color or is it available in any other colors?
