Description

Offered for sale is a complete separatory funnel set-up. This set-up includes the support stand, support ring and 1000mL borosilicate separatory funnel with a PTFE stopcock. This comes with a cast iron support stand with a 6 x 9 base and 24 rod. The cast metal ring with heat-resistant enamel coating is 4" in diameter and can be positioned anywhere on the rod by simply adjusting the thumbscrew. You also get a glass separatory funnel with PTFE stopcock, in 1000mL capacity. PTFE stopcocks are less likely to seize up than glass to glass fittings and do not require expensive lubricant therefore reducing the risk of contamination. It is used for separation of immiscible liquids, mostly for organic chemistry. If you prefer a glass stopcock on your separatory funnel, please request it. Our current separatory funnel has a polyethylene stopper at the top, which we like much better than the glass stopper.
