The exhaust manifold found on the 1989-1990 Nissan 240SX SOHC 4 Cylinder Engines were designed to combine the exhaust gasses from each of the cylinders quickly with a manifold that was cost effective to produce. Our 4-1 off-road racing headers are designed to allow the exhaust gasses to flow more freely from each cylinder and combine in a more efficient manner. Tubing has been optimized for the 2.4L engine. This creates a reduction in cylinder backpressure and improved exhaust gas velocity. These improvements free up lost horsepower and torque. Turbo Manifold:The heart of any Turbo system is the Manifold and the Turbocharger. These form the basis where the rest of the turbo system is built around. Turbo manifolds have only one, but the most critical purpose in turbo systems, and that purpose is to expel exhaust gas into the turbine of a turbocharger as efficiently as possible.
There is no match for power and performance for tubular stainless steel manifolds. Tubular manifolds are made up of runners coming from each cylinder, meeting up at a collector. Tubular manifolds yield a higher efficiency rate, as each runner is generally the same circumference. This allows for a much smoother flow of exhaust gas to the turbo.
Elbow Exhaust Pipe:
The Elbow Exhaust is a necessary exhaust piping needed when upgrading a stock SR20 engine with a T25G turbochager. It will allow connecting the T25G turbo to the existing intercooler plumbing. By maximizing exhaust flow, this elbow dump pipe exhaust allows the turbo to spool up and build boost quicker. The result brings out the vehicle's performance potential by giving it a free high flowing exhaust system.
