WON'T FALL APART! Sturdy design. Heavy 3/4" thick frame. Joints are screwed, not stapled. Most boards attach the hinge to the horizontal part of the frame, but we attach to the vertical part of the frame to give a much stronger hold. Board is mounted inside frame, not tacked on the back. Protective melamine backing for better water resistance than all others that have bare MDF. Still not water proof, no chalkboard is, so try not to leave it in the rain.

WHAT WE DID TO IMPROVE ON OTHER BOARDS OUT THERE:

1. Upgraded the chalkboard surface to full magnetic chalkboard like the ones you used in school for better writing quality, instead of chalkboard paint other use.
2. Frame is made of Sylvestris for extra water and decay resistance to last a lot longer than soft pine
3. 3/4" wood instead of 1/2" wood frame
4. Tongue and groove mounting of the board inside the frame instead of stapled on the back so it won't fall off over time
5. Screws instead of staples to hold the frame together because of complaints about other boards falling apart from their feedback
6. Vertical sides of the frame extended so hinges are attached in such a way that it makes the joint twice as strong
7. Different style heavy duty hinge so the screws are not inline, which causes wood splitting on other boards
8. Melamine backing which is superior to the exposed MDF backing used in other boards.
