The SportStar SpeedFlex Adapter Kit allows any traditional chinstrap with buckles to work on the Riddell SpeedFlex helmet.
Installation Instructions:
1. Remove the thumbwheel screw from the back of the existing ratchet housing and remove the ratchet housing from the helmet
2. Replace the ratchet housing with the SportStar Adapter and secure it into place by finger tightening the same thumb wheel screw to the back of the adapter
The SportStar Adapter attaches with the existing thumb wheel screw that comes with the helmet. Additional thumbwheels do not come as a part of the adapter kit.

An easy to install, easy to remove piece of hardware which allows you to convert your SpeedFlex helmet to a traditional Snap Post system--without drilling! Simply unscrew the thumb wheel from behind the Flex Ratchet Housing, remove the Flex Ratchet housing from the helmet, place the Flex Adapter in the same position and lock it into place by finger tightening the thumb wheel screw already provided with the helmet. Sold by the set - each set has two (2) flex adapters, one for the left side of your helmet and one for the right side of your helmet. The FlexAdapter is worn at all levels of the game including the pros, installs in just seconds, and will not void your helmet warranty. REMINDER: ADAPTER KIT DOES NOT COME WITH ANOTHER THUMBWHEEL SET. MUST USE THE THUMBWHEELS THAT COME WITH THE SPEEDFLEX HELMET TO COMPLETE THE INSTALLATION.
