Description

This is a set of Crank Neck chisels made by a small tool manufacturer in the Czech Republic and are of exceptional quality. Due to the offset handle, these chisels can access hard to reach places that other chisels cannot touch. They are also perfect for flush trimming. The blades are bent at a 30 degree angle and are made from fine-grained, nicely tempered chrome-manganese steel and hardened to Rc 59. The blades take and hold an excellent edge. The blades are accurately ground and have a slimmer cross section that woodworkers prefer. As with all edge tools, they will need sharpening before use. These chisels are an excellent value in a good quality tool. This is a Premium 4 piece set of Cranked Neck chisels contains the following sizes: 1/4 inch; , 1/2 inch, 3/4 inch and 1 inch. Cutting edges are ground at a 25 degree bevel. Blades are 4 1/2 inches to 5 1/2 inches long. Handles are stained Hornbeam and 5 inches long. Overall sizes range in length from 9 3/4 inches to 10 1/2 inches. Blades have well-seated heavy steel tangs and handles have a brass ferrules. They do not come in a retail box.
