The Paradox 2.5-layer system is created by adding a waterproof and breathable coating to a high-performance protective fabric. The raised pattern makes the 2.5-layer fabric light and compressible, while still protecting the waterproof barrier. Treated with a water repellent finish, it is a rainwear's first line of defense against precipitation. This fabric construction blocks wind and water on the outside, protecting you from the elements and keeping you dry and warm.
