They are made to hold a variety of small-grained filter media such as the Aquatic Experts Classic Activated Carbon, also called bituminous charcoal, along with many different ion exchange resins. Also works great with pelletized Carbon for ponds, or in your fish tank filter system. Since these bags are inexpensive, you can customize your filtration by adding separate bags of your favorite assortments of filter media to your canister filters, power filters, sumps, wet/dry filters and pond filters.

The DRAWSTRING TIGHTLY CLOSES the bag and will easily keep the small media particles inside the bag without the risk of leaks. The DURABLE DRAWSTRING DESIGN allows the bag to be used multiple times; simply empty the filter media from the bag and rinse.
