Description

This is a simple water lamp kit based on the NE555 and CD4017 chip designed for the soldering skill training. It include the basic electronics components such as SMD resistor, IC, potemtiometer,capacitor,LED diode and so one with clear marked PCB board easy to assemble. When finishing the assemble steps, it will turn into a LED flahing lamps ideal for the electronic beggier or school basic electronics experiment projects.

Working Principle:
The power supply will charge the C1 capacitor thright R2 R3 R4 resistor, and the NE555 2th pin is in low level status and the 3th pin is in high level status, When the C1 voltage is equal to 2/3 of the power supply voltage, the NE555 3th pin will turn into low level, the NE555 internal discharge circuit is connected and the C1 will discharge through R4 R3 resistor and NE555 7th pin until the C1 voltage is less than 1/3 of the power supply voltage, then the NE555 3th pin will back to high level, and the C1 will be charged again and repeat this procss. the charging time is 0.695(R2+R3+R4)C1 and the discharging time is 0.695(R4+R3)C1. Regulate the R4 can control the output frequency, the NE555 signal will output to the CD4017's 14th pin, and there are 10 LED diode connected with the CD4017 10 output ends, when the 10 ends receive the high level and the D1-D10 will light up in sequence to form the water lamp effect.
