3D PRINTING, SIMPLIFIED: As an SLA UV-resin printer, there is no longer a need for an X or Y axis on this 3d printer. The light source accounts for both the X and Y axis, with only a Z axis moving up and down. The LD-001 features the least amount of moving parts we've ever offered in a consumer grade machine. Less moving parts = fewer points of failure and fewer headaches.
PRINTING, AT THE SPEED OF LIGHT: Much like DLP printers, we flash an entire layer of light at once onto the UV-sensitive resin, so you can print one entire layer in as little as 5 seconds. This means print speed is solely determined by the model's Z axis height. As opposed to traditional FDM printers, with the LD-001, whether you have one model on the bed or 5 models, the total print time will be the same. Perfect for D&D or other tabletop miniatures! Introducing Creality 3D's first ever consumer grade SLA 3D printer, the LCD-powered LD-001. Creality 3D has been an industry leader in additive manufacturing and a steadfast brand among 3D printing hobbyists and enthusiasts for years.

The LD-001 is our next step in the ever-advancing march of technology and innovation. This SLA printer uses a process called Stereo-lithography to trap photo-sensitive UV resin between a powerful UV emitting light source and the build surface. The UV light emitted from the 2K resolution LCD screen* below the resin hardens the UV sensitive resin until it adheres to the layer above it. The simplicity of this printing process means fewer moving parts and fewer problems for the operator! Another benefit of this process is since the entire layer is flashed at the same time, it does not matter how many objects you have on the build surface, the print will still take the same amount of time, unlike FDM which adds much more time for each successive model added to the build surface. The detail of the .05mm layers is astounding, allowing for the highest-quality replication possible from desktop printers available today.

The 3.5 in. touchscreen display comes with an easy to understand, user-friendly OS and UI, designed by Creality 3D with a focus on consumer feedback and suggestions. The included slicing software is also developed in-house by our software engineers to provide a simple, beginner-friendly interface between the software and hardware.
