NOTE:The brushes are coated at the factory to keep the bristles stiff which helps to protect the hairs in the brush during packaging/shipping. Coating will wash off bristles and/or gently moving bristles around will loosen them up and not cause harm to the brush. This is a standard process in brush manufacturing.
