Description

The Thermo Scientific Orion 9106BNWP economy series gel-filled combination pH electrode features a wick junction for use in aqueous samples, and an epoxy body for indoor or outdoor conditions. This electrode has a permanently gelled Ag/AgCl (silver/silver chloride) electrolyte that produces less noise (unwanted voltages) than gold or purely silver electrodes, and requires no refills. The electrode comes with a waterproof Bayonet Neill-Concelman (BNC) connection with a 1 m cable for reaching the sample, and a glass bulb.

pH range is 0 to 14, temperature range is 0 to 80 degrees C, and body dimensions are 11 cm (4.31") length x 12 mm (0.43") diameter body, with 16 mm (0.62") diameter cap. Buffer and storage solutions are sold separately.

pH electrodes are used in pH meters and testers to measure the acidity or alkalinity of a substance. They are often constructed of glass, which senses hydrogen ions, and generates a millivoltage that is picked up by the filling solution and transferred to a wire that connects to the pH meter.
