The Pitsco 31729 Gears and Motors Class Pack contains Pitsco 25300 Gear Fonts of 16 polystyrene gears and Pitsco 54428 Motor 280 motors for 25 students to use in projects requiring a gear to turn a motor. The gears come in six different sizes for use with a variety of projects. The kit includes 10-, 20-, 30-, 40-, 50-, and 60-tooth gears with a pitch of 32 and outer diameters ranging from 3/8 inch to 1-5/8 inches. The gears are contained in a frame until they are punched out for use. The Motor 280 operates in a range of 1.5V to 3V for use in small electric vehicles or solar racers. It meets the requirements for the National Junior Solar Sprint Competition. Small motors and plastic gears are typically used in an educational or hobby setting to build model vehicles or small robotic projects.
