Description

It's back! Introducing an amazing direct trade micro-lot coffee from our good friend and coffee grower Ricardo Ariz. Up in the clouds of El Salvador's Santa Ana region is Ariz's farm El Aguila. This coffee displays all that is phenomenal about the El Salvador Pacamara varietal with notes of brown sugar, raisin, rose, and sweet butter. The price paid for this special coffee far exceeds prices mandated for Fair Trade certification. 92 Points Coffee Review. Blind Assessment: Deep, resonant, quietly complex. Candied orange zest, baker's chocolate, tamarind, roasted walnut, cedar in aroma and cup. Balanced, sweet-savory structure with a roundly tart edge. Satiny, lively mouthfeel. Tamarind and cedar carry into the short finish; walnut lasts in the long. Bottom Line: Offers the depth and balance of a fine Pacamara, simultaneously sweet, savory and tart, with a quietly resonant set of aroma and flavor notes. *PLEASE NOTE: JBC no longer puts roast dates on their bags but guarantee shipment within 48 hours of roasting your coffee. If the roast date is important, you can make a request via [email protected]. She will contact JBC and request that they write it on the bag.
