Description

This Deluxe 2-in-1 Tool Kit includes the Sculpting Tool (with 6 wires), Engraving Tool, single temperature plug-in-the-wall Power Supply, an 85 minute Hot Wire Foam Factory DVD, and a handy carrying case. These foam cutting tools are a great addition to any tool chest to get creative with foam projects. They each feature a switch in the handle to turn the tool on and off. The Sculpting Tool is our most popular and versatile tool for freehand sculpting, carving, and scroll cutting. Making realistic hills and mountains has never been easier. Cuts foam like a hot knife through butter. The Engraving Tool is perfect for engraving bricks, blocks, stones, words, and other shapes for detailed looking walls, abutments, portals, slats, cobblestone roads, signs and more. A fine finishing tool for detailing any type of 2-D or 3-D sculpture or model. Only the tip heats up. The 85 minute, region-free DVD shows you all the basics you need to get started immediately and make just about any shape imaginable out of polystyrene foam. The best techniques for painting and gluing, plus tons of handy tips. Proudly made in the USA! Our Hot Wire tools work best on rigid polystyrene foams, also known as expanded polystyrene (also known as EPS, Styrofoam or bead-board foam) and extruded polystyrene foam (also known as XEPS or XPS or insulation foam). If you are unsure whether or not this tool will cut the foam you intend to cut, please contact us before buying. The Hot Wire tools will cut many kinds of foam, but always check with the foam manufacturer to make sure there are no health or safety hazards when using hot wire tools. NOTE: Polyurethane foam (aka upholstery/camera case foam) should not be cut with hot wire tools. It needs a ton of heat, gives off toxic fumes, and leaves a lot of melted plastic wherever it is cut. We recommend that the polyurethane foams only be cut with a blade or saw.
