Originally created for iittala by artist-designer Goran Hongell in 1948, the Aarne barware collection quickly became the standard for essential barware in the 1950's, won the gold medal at the 1954 Milan Triennale, and is now included in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art (MoMA) in New York. Aarne glassware is constructed of crystal-clear blown glass in sleek-yet-substantial shapes that are timeless in design, suitable for everyday use, and dishwasher-safe.
