Description

The DE-STA-CO 323-R Horizontal U-Hook Pull-Action Latch Clamp with Toggle Lock Plus is made of steel and has a U-hook clamping bar with a latch plate that can be fastened to a surface for more security than DE-STA-CO 200-series hold-down toggle-locking clamps. It has a horizontal hold-down handle for applications where there is little clearance above the clamp. The maximum holding capacity is 360 lb. The clamp also has a thumb-engaged toggle lock to maintain the clamp pressure and a flanged base for mounting to a work surface. The plastic-covered handle provides a secure grip.

Toggle clamps use pressure and a holding screw, also known as a spindle, to hold a component in place. Toggle clamps have either a fixed clamping point at the end of a solid clamping bar or an adjustable holding screw that can be moved down a U-shaped clamping bar and away from the base of the clamp for more clearance. The closer the holding screw is to the base of the clamp, more pressure is applied. The clamp handle is positioned either perpendicular to the bar (vertical) or parallel to the bar (horizontal) to suit different clearance angles around the component.

DE-STA-CO manufactures clamping, gripping, transferring, indexing, and robotic tools. The company was founded in 1915 and is headquartered in Auburn, MI.
