Made of the same thick black leather hides we pick by hand for the stethoscope version, this design improves on other trauma shears holsters by allowing use on either hip and in any orientation. The shears also can be reholstered forwards or backwards. Included with the leather holster are the highest-quality set of 7-inch trauma shears available on the market: made by Clauss of titanium bonded to steel, these shears maintain their edge far longer than traditional stainless steel trauma scissors even after repeated use for cutting belts, clothing, and shoes. We put this design through four iterations and two years of actual use before we were satisfied that the product would meet our standards. The BATCLIP shears is best worn on a belt behind the right or left hip, roughly lined up with the inferior point of the scapula.
