This Boswellia Carteri Resin is a Kyphi Ethical Grade Frankincense and contains all the gems you would expect from this wonderful resin. Kyphishop is one of the few companies that only sell Ethical grade frankincense resins and frankincense essential oils to maintain our sustainable sourcing and minimize the practice of over harvested trees. In the spring season between (Feb/Mar) indigenous men and women harvest carteri resin from the sunset side of the tree, while in the autumn months harvest from the sunrise side of the trees. This ancient technique allows the trees to be rested when tapping twice a year. The resin is collected every two weeks after the bark is scored. There has been no scientific based evidence that suggests sorting frankincense into colors and clarity increases the therapeutic and aromatic properties of this resin. The bark pieces, wood chips and different colors all add to providing a sensational scent.
