Description

Supremely agile and heavily armed, the F-16C Fighting Falcon flies faster than the speed of sound. This multirole fighter aircraft is equipped with a Pratt and Whitney turbofan engine and an afterburner that enables the aircraft to easily speed out of trouble during a dogfight. With an engine thrust higher than the Sabres, the F-16 Falcon is considered by its pilots a fun plane to fly. However, the aircraft is not without its drawbacks. Due its largeness, the F-16 was at a disadvantage over smaller and more mediocre aircraft (such as in the case when F-16s where pitted against the smaller albeit highly maneuverable MiG-21 during the Vietnam War). The aircraft also cost millions of dollars to develop or maintain, which means that only a few of these fighting machines would be able to engage in battle.
