1. This cable supports most of the cars, except Honda.
2. The lightning digital av adapter is NOT designed to charge iPhone, iPad or iPod touch.
3. Make sure of the right adapter, iPhone/iPad original adapters (A small white plug) are the best choices. If lower, it will not work very well. (5V/1A for iPhone, 5V/2A-2.4A for iPad)
