Pins are commonly used aspivots,hinges,shafts,jigs,and fixtures to locate or holdparts.They are precision ground(unlessnoted)for more accuratealignment,and slightly oversized for a tightfit.To aidinsertion,ends are beveled or rounded(unlessnoted).For a tightfit,your hole should be equal to or slightly smaller than the diametershown.Breaking strength and Rockwell hardness are not rated(unlessnoted).Materials that have a breaking strength are measured as doubleshear,which is the force required to break a pin into three pieces.
