Description

This is a 1000mL (33.8 US fluid ounces) beaker mug, hand-crafted from borosilicate glass. The benefit of being created from borosilicate glass rather than the standard soda-lime glass found in a typical kitchen, is that borosilicate glass is able to withstand higher temperatures than soda-lime. Because of this, the virtually all modern laboratory glassware, and a large selection of cookware, is made using borosilicate glass. Because of the physical properties of borosilicate glass, this beaker mug is able to not only handle hor or cold liquids, but is also microwave and dishwasher safe. Lightweight and durable, they are perfect for personal use and the dual-scale graduations combined with a pouring spout make them useful as a measuring cup in either the kitchen or the laboratory. While they do have graduations printed on their surface, if any kind of precise measurements are required, we do recommend that a cylinder or pipet be used. Of course, the most precise and accurate method of measurement will always be by weight. Because our beaker mugs are handcrafted, they may contain minor cosmetic blemishes. These blemishes will in no way affect the use, or integrity, of the beaker mug.
